Paul Green faces between six and nine months out with the injury picked up against Cardiff City at the weekend when scans revealed he has damaged cruciate and medial ligaments in his right knee. The midfielder saw the same specialist who dealt with Steve Davies` injury early this season and the worst was confirmed with the news that he will miss the remainder of this and the start of next season through injury. According to reports on dcfc.co.uk he will wait for a month whilst the medial ligament heals before then having an anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction done once the specialist is happy he is ready for this. Green has started 36 of The Rams` 39 league games so far this season across a number of positions and will leave Nigel Clough`s squad short in numbers.

There has been slightly better news with Gareth Roberts` injury confirmed as ligament damage although it is not believed to be as bad as first feared, no date have been put on his comeback although it is clear he will miss the upcoming home clashes with Coventry City and Leeds United.
