Former Derby coach, and caretaker-boss, Chris Hutchings has been confirmed as the new Walsall boss.

Hutchings took over briefly following Paul Jewell’s departure and was in the running for the permanent position at Pride Park, oversaw our FA Cup third round win, but left shortly after when Nigel Clough was confirmed.

The 51-year-old replaces Jimmy Mullen, who was himself sacked by Walsall 10 days ago.
