Hughes Admits Form Has Slipped

Will Hughes has admitted he has not been up to his usual high standards over the course of the recently finished season that saw The Rams finish ninth in the table.

In what has been a disappointing season all round Hughes pulled no punches whilst speaking to dcfc.co.uk about his form over the season that saw him only score two goals whilst providing four assists. Reflecting about the previous twelve months Hughes said:

“It`s been a very frustrating season for both myself and the team. You can`t look for excuses because, ultimately, it is down to you and how you play. There`s been different managers and different styles of play and I just never got into the rhythm of things. It boils down to myself and how I have performed and I just haven`t been up to my standards.”
