Huddlestone Prepared For Tough Easter

|

Tom Huddlestone thinks Derby County have a tough Easter ahead of them as they prepare to return to action after the international break.

The Rams have two televised games over the Bank Holiday weekend as they face Sunderland at Pride Park on Good Friday before travelling to Deepdale to take on Preston North End on Easter Monday with both games vital if they want to maintain their play-off place. Talking to dcfc.co.uk about the games Huddlestone said:

“With the size of Sunderland as a club, you wouldn`t expect them to be where they are in the league. They are fighting for their lives and it`s going to be a tough game for sure. That said, we have then got Preston a few days after who are right on our coattails. Deepdale is a difficult place to go. In that respect, we have got two similar games in one aspect, but are completely different in the sense of what the three teams are needing the points for. It`s going to be an interesting Easter.”

These are always a bit of a banana skin, aren’t they?  We are higher in the league and expected to win.  Sunderland are bang in trouble and not much is expected from them now.  Time will tell, but I think Tom is right, we are in for a fight.
