The Rams have completed the signing of striker Craig Fagan from Hull City, and he has become Billy Davies’ second major capture in the current transfer window.
The 24 year-old signed for the Rams for £750,000 from the Tigers on Monday night after agreeing personal terms and a three-and-a-half year contract with managing director Mike Horton.

Born in Birmingham, Fagan came up through the Birmingham City academy and joined the Tigers from Colchester United for £125,000 just under two years ago having scored 14 goals for the Layer Road side in the 2004/05 campaign.
He is a talent player, which Davies has been watching for a while. He is quick, athletic and a team player and he can play as a striker or wide. The 5ft 11in forward has scored six times for Hull City this season, and he has scored 15 goals in his 70 starts since joining then in March 2005.

He was missing from the Hull City side for the cup game against Middlesbrough on Saturday, and that`s a bonus for the Rams as he isn`t cup-tied so he will be available to play in the fourth round FA cup tie against Bristol Rovers on January 27th, if selected.

Last week the Rams sealed the £1 million transfer of David Jones from Manchester United and confirmed at the weekend they have had an offer accepted by Celtic for midfielder Stephen Pearson
Pearson, who was at Pride Park for the Wrexham cup match on Saturday, is also talking to other clubs.
Fagan will be unveiled as a Derby County player at a media conference on Tuesday morning.
