After making his Derby debut on the final day of the season Mark Dudley is looking for more first-team involvement next season.

“Getting out there and playing the last 10 minutes at a place like Watford was a good experience for me.

“There was no pressure on me so I just went out there and played. I was a little surprised to be getting the chance but in football you take things as they come.

“Now I want to work hard in pre-season, hopefully get a few games under my belt and then try and push on from there. I want to be part of this club. I think we can push for promotion next season and I want to be a part of that, so we’ll see what happens.”

Dudley was talking to the official website.

The 19-year-old has been a regular in the reserves for the last two-years and ended his debut professional season with 10 minutes at the end of it in the Watford defeat, to give us a brief glimpse of what he is capable of and there were a few signs that the defender would be capable of offering more next season.
