Derby Duo Get Wales Call (7/11/17)


Derby County duo Joe Ledley and Tom Lawrence have been called up by Wales manager Chris Coleman for the coming international break.

The next break of the 2017/18 campaign in November sees Wales face friendly ties against France and Panama. Wales travel to the Stade de France on November 10 before hosting Panama on November 14.

Having named his provisional squad there have since been changes. Gareth Bale has withdrawn from the squad following injury, and with Hal Robson-Kanu and Emry Huws already ruled out, Jonny Williams is also the latest casualty.

Replacing them in the squad are Barnsley’s Ryan Hedges, Tom Bradshaw and Lloyd Isgrove, whilst Wigan Athletic’s Lee Evans is also added to the group.

Prior to the provisional squad being announced, James Collins announced his retirement from international football.

Wayne Hennessey (Crystal Palace), Danny Ward (Liverpool), Chris Maxwell (Preston).

Defenders:

Chris Gunter (Reading), James Chester (Aston Villa), Ashley Williams (Everton), Ben Davies (Tottenham), Neil Taylor (Aston Villa), Tom Lockyer (Bristol Rovers), Ethan Ampadu (Chelsea).

Midfielders:

Joe Allen (Stoke), Joe Ledley (Derby), David Edwards (Reading), Andy King (Leicester), Lloyd Isgrove (Barnsley), Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal), Lee Evans (Wigan Athletic).

Forwards:

Marley Watkins (Norwich), Sam Vokes (Burnley), Ryan Hedges, Tom Bradshaw (Barnsley), Tom Lawrence (Derby), Ben Woodburn (Liverpool), David Brooks (Sheffield United).
