Derby County banished all the problems they had against Sunderland as they trounced Bolton Wanderers by 3-0.

Derby never looked in serious trouble throughout the game but Bolton, playing for their Championship lives, gave a reasonable response but failed to trouble the Rams back line.

Tom Lawrence scored Derby County’s third goal

Matej Vydra put the ball in the net for his 20th goal of the season in the 33rd minute, following a good move involving several Derby players.

Bolton had to do something to give them hope for the second period and a double substitution
Seemed to be doing the trick as they started the second period brightly. The good start however was undone by the Rams in the 54th minute. A silky run by Tom Lawrence ended all hope for Bolton as his powerful low shot across the keep found the bottom corner to make it Derby County 3 Bolton Wanderers 0.

Derby needed the win to try and secure their place at the end of season play-off’s and also give them confidence for their clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday. A game that could define the Rams entire season.
