Ben Davies is still in manager Nigel Clough`s plans despite not having started for The Rams since early December after a run of defeats and loss of confidence saw him lose his place in the side. Davies played his part in the fine start to the season made by Derby and he played in the first twentytwo games of the season before losing his place on the right of midfield. With his side in a poor run of form at the moment Clough is considering all options including bringing the former Notts County man in from the cold telling the Derby Evening Telegraph:

‘Can we bring Ben back in? We have talked about it. We are aware he lost a bit of confidence some weeks ago which ultimately led to him coming out of the team. In our current situation it is about whether he can come back in and rediscover that confidence given the run we are on.’
