Tomasz Cywka suffered a fractured cheekbone on Saturday, however, the striker isn’t definitely ruled out of the match with Coventry this weekend.

The 22-year-old, who scored what was the equalising goal at the time, suffered the fracture in the 2-1 defeat against Cardiff at Pride Park and has surgery on this injury on Sunday.

Despite this the Pole could still feature against Coventry as a protective mask, similar to one used by Jay McEveley last season, could be worn to enable Cywka to retain his place in the Rams side.
