Kris Commons’ chances of featuring for Derby during the Easter schedule have taken a setback.

The 26-year-old, who has missed the last eight matches with a hamstring injury, was set to play for the reserves last night, however a virus that Commons picked up last week meant he wasn’t feeling ready to play against Shrewsbury Town like he’d been pencilled in to do so.

As a result, due to the lack of this match to help his fitness, the Scotland international’s proposed returned in Saturday’s match against Coventry or Monday’s against Ipswich isn’t going to happen.
