Nigel Clough thinks Derby County`s next five games could shape their season although one of those, today`s clash with Doncaster Rovers, has been called off after issues with the power to the West Stand at Pride Park. With a run of games over the festive period, including matches against Nottingham Forest and an FA Cup Third Round tie against Crawley Town, The Rams` season and fortunes could be shaped over the next weeks. With aims to finish in the top ten and progress in the cup Nigel Clough thinks this could be an important period and told the Derby Evening Telegraph:

‘There are 12 points at stake and a place in the fourth round of the FA Cup. It is a very important time when you have all these games so close together. The next five games could go a long way towards shaping the next three months. I think the league really takes shape when you get into January.’
