Derby have sold almost 18,000 season tickets for next season already, and the major attraction to fans behind this is Nigel Clough according to President and Chief Executive Tom Glick.
“There has been a tremendous response. It is very positive and we are thankful to supporters.
“We are encouraged that we can start next season with a similar season-ticket base, which would be terrific.”
There have still been moments under Clough that haven’t been as we would’ve liked but to be fair to Clough he is working with some players that I suspect he would rather not be working with but hasn’t really been able to make any changes. His arrival has certainly excited most fans though.
“People are excited. They have a lot of belief and hope and rightly so.
“I think Nigel has a lot to do with it. I think he has helped bring it all together.”
Glick was talking to the Evening Telegraph.
The total number of season tickets sold so far is 17,700 and this is 1,100 more than this time last season with 700 or more people new season ticket holders next season.
With a summer of ins and outs, and Clough will be moving players on as well as bringing others in, its right for us to be optimistic about next season and I think that we are in for a good season.
