Harry Wilson with the player of the round award for the 3rd round

Derby County hopes to have two Chelsea players fit to face their parent club in Wednesday nights Carabao Cup/ Fakayo Tomori and Mason Mount are now established and key players in Frank Lampard’s Derby County side. Mount was taken off after suffering a foot injury in the 62nd minute of the Rams draw with Middlesbrough at the weekend but is expected to play in the midweek clash.

The Rams face a huge task ahead if they hope to make it through to the quarter-finals although with the fighting spirit now evident at the club an upset is not out of the question.

Chelsea must be confident as Derby have to travel down to London and the fortress that is Stamford Bridge, not to mention their army of top International players. Chelsea may rest Edan Hazard, who has missed Chelsea’s last two games with a back injury.

Getting back to the Rams and Harry Wilson will be looking to re-create his form of the last round against Manchester United. His performance and especially his free-kick goal against United earned the Welsh International the Player of the Round award.

Jayden Bogel will be wanting to get back to his true form after his own goal cost the Rams two points at the Riverside at the weekend, the young defender was desperately unlucky to put the ball into his own net whilst trying to clear a ball into the box with just minutes left on the clock. A good game against Chelsea will go a long way to help the youngster banish the memories of the incident.
