Blackpool Admit Defeat

Derby target Shaun Barker now looks set to leave Blackpool with Blackpool boss Ian Holloway revealing that a deal has almost been agreed with a club.

Holloway wouldn’t reveal who the club was but it’s set to be either Derby or Forest, as we’re the teams that have been battling for him this summer.

“We are very close to a deal.

The last thing I want to do is lose him but everyone has their value.

What you have to remember is that players know what other people are getting paid at this level. Even if we doubled his money, it wouldn’t be as much as the two clubs chasing him would offer.”

Holloway was talking to the Blackpool Gazette.

We’ve already had two offers rejected for the 26-year-old defender so could it be third time lucky?
