Mason Bennett has been called up to the England Under-19 squad for their First Qualifying Round matches in Slovenia next month.

England face Slovenia on 10th October, Andorra on 12th October and Switzerland on 15th October with the top two teams in the group progressing to the Elite Qualifying Round next May. Having scored his first ever league goal in the victory at Millwall earlier this month the call-up is another step on Bennett`s way up the football ladder having previously been capped at Under-16 and Under-17 level. The squad will fly out to Slovenia for the matches on 8th October returning after their final game with Switzerland meaning Bennett may miss the Pride Park clash with Leeds United before departing.

The full squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Mitchell Beeney (Chelsea), Luke Coddington (Middlesbrough).

Defenders: Calum Chambers (Southampton), Leo Chambers (West Ham United), Jake Cooper (Reading), Isaac Hayden (Arsenal), Matthew Targett (Southampton), Adam Webster (Aldershot Town, on loan from Portsmouth).

Midfielders: Lewis Baker (Chelsea), Jordon Ibe (Liverpool), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Chelsea), Josh Murphy (Norwich City), Ben Pearson (Manchester United), John Swift (Chelsea).

Forwards: Chuba Akpom (Arsenal), Mason Bennett (Derby County), Carlton Morris (Norwich City), James Wilson (Manchester United).
