Andy Todd is being targeted by Australian side Perth Glory, with their boss Dave Mitchell admitting an interest in the veteran defender.

“The boy Andy Todd, who’s playing at Derby, we’ve been interested in him.”

Mitchell was talking to media sources.

The 34-year-old has been in and out of Nigel Clough’s plans, making most of his appearances in recent times as a substitute, but with Clough highly critical of the defensive lapses at the back and the wage bill needing to be cut the former Blackburn captain seems an ideal candidate to make way and a move down under could appeal to him?

Mile Sterjovski is also another target of the Australian A-League side.
