Miles Addison is close to a return to action after spending nine months out with a foot injury although he was not risked in a reserve game against Sheffield Wednesday yesterday. Addison suffered a stress fracture of his foot and was told by a specialist that he could be out for up to twelve months but he has recovered quicker than expected and has been working hard on his rehabilitation. Nigel Clough told Radio Derby:

‘He’s been brilliant; he’s way ahead of schedule and has worked as hard as any player we have seen in rehabilitation. That’s why we don’t want to rush him; the last thing he wants is a big setback so he will take his time and probably train every other day with a view to being involved next week or the week after in a reserve game.”

There has also been news in relation to two of The Rams` on loan players with Ryan Noble returning to Sunderland after his loan expired and Luke Moore looking set to extend his loan from West Bromwich Albion. Noble has been suffering from a back injury that has lead to him only making one substitute appearance during his time at Pride Park. Derby have agreed a deal in principle to extend the loan of Moore, who scored his first goal last week at Doncaster, and they are awaiting final confirmation of the deal to keep the striker at the club.
